Artisan Acres Estate is a homage to the Old World charm of treasured country chateaus and gardens dotted across Europe, and provides an enchanting backdrop for your special day. Each aspect as been lovingly and thoughtfully curated, from authentic, artfully crafted French and English ironwork and carpentry, German leaded and stained glass, and Italian marble, with the oldest pieces dating to the 1700s.

THE BARN

This magnificent marvel of a barn is the embodiment of Old World, European charm, embellished from the ground to the tip of its spires with antique hardware, doors with working transoms, leaded glass windows, Civil War Era stained glass, and exquisite antique tin ceiling tiles -patina-ed to perfection! The setting is elegantly rustic, while the amenities are modern. With both heating and air conditioning, you and your guests will celebrate comfortably. Artisan Acres Estate is fully handicap accessible, and WIFI is available.

• The Barn can accommodate up to 250 people for dining, and up to 300 people when tented.

 

THE Veranda

Three antique, gothic, French doors open to this wing of the barn. The view is captivating as it frames the flower garden for a stunning backdrop to your cocktail hour, ceremony, head table, or dance floor. The Veranda is wrapped in a series of antique, ornate, French cast iron arches as well as other ironwork all sourced directly from France. The space is beautifully punctuated with potted topiaries and ferns, all moveable to personalize your use of the space. Six of the twelve oft-admired crystal chandeliers grace this indoor/outdoor area with the most elegant lighting.

Chadder and Co. design

Chadder and Co. is a small, fellow “artisan” company dedicated to a level of beauty and craft that comes only from a passion which refuses to frolic in mass production. Commissioned by the British Royal Family to furnish the restrooms of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, Chadder and Co. was awarded a Royal Warrant permitting them to display the Queen’s Seal on their products. This level of unique elegance is a perfect fit for Artisan Acres, as Artisan Acres’ owners, Charlie and Krysty-An Spartz, care about EVERY aspect of the guest experience.  Kyrsty-An and Charlie partnered with Chadder and Co. to create the most uniquely luxurious, elegant, and stylistically unexpected venue restrooms in North America. The exterior of the bathrooms are highlighted in antique brick, copper, slate, French ironwork, and English cherub lanterns, and the interior is a jaw-dropping display of rarely-seen-in-modern-times craftsmanship.

The storybook estate provides a number of naturally beautiful outdoor spaces for your ceremony and reception. The owner’s passion for growing flowers is on full display with a garden unlike any other found in Indiana. The extensive collection includes nearly 200 English roses, over 1000 dahlias, hundreds of rare irises, a variety of cutting flowers, and a field of lavender. All combine to create a living rhapsody of blooms that offer a unique beauty in each month.

The Flower Arbor Tunnel
Once parked, your guests stroll through the Flower Arbor Tunnel. Over one hundred feet of a variety of enchanting flowering vines and climbing roses envelope the tunnel. Windows give guests a view of the fragrant lavender field and blooms of the garden until they reach…

 

The French Fountain
One of very few remaining in the world, this highly detailed cherub fountain was cast pre-1850 at the famed Val d’Osne foundry. This iron work-of-art is perched atop a centuries old French millstone that Charlie and Krysty-An creatively chose to serve as the lower basin – a design so very à propos to this forest setting!  This enchanting scene greets your guests as they exit the Flower Arbor Tunnel and enter the forest.

 

The Winding Wooded Path
This dreamy little path winds its way from just behind the barn, through the forest, and back to The Grand Oak.  Wind your cocktail tables or one long dinner table down this fairytale path for the most unique wedding in Indiana!  Let us show you how on a tour!

 

The Grand Oak
This magnificent white oak is estimated to be over 300 years old! It generously shades your guests from late afternoon sun in this optional ceremony area that seats up to 300.

 

The “Living” Room
This incredible space envelopes the barn on two sides. The floor is paved with thousands of antique street bricks, creating a gorgeous patio. This patio is bordered by a wall of majestic trees as well as a highly ornate Victorian Era wrought iron fence that once graced the lawn of a federal courthouse. The ceiling is a gorgeous leafy canopy that allows just the right amount of sparkling dappled sunlight and/or moonlight to shine through. The Living Room is a fabulous space for soft seating and cocktails as it also includes the Patio Grain Dispensary Bar.

 

The Roundabout Patio
This is yet another fabulous antique brick patio area that lies directly in front of the barn.  A versatile space ideal for ceremony, cocktails, dancing, or a late night food truck!

 

The Golden Hour Courtyard
This space invites you to creatively host your ceremony, cocktail hour, or al fresco-style reception dinner garden-side, while bathed in the most beautiful light of the day. The sunset streams across the flower field, creating a backdrop that’s a photographer’s dream. The courtyard design was inspired by a chateau in Burgundy, France. The courtyard is embellished with ornate, iron street lamps from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alps region of France, as well as antique iron benches from England, giving the most dramatic open-air dining option in Indiana!  Artisan Acres brings Europe to you!  Add a tent over the courtyard for guest counts over 250, and save the barn for the afterparty!
